Passing of Ex-Chief Walter Monestere
It is with deep regret the Freeport Fire Department announces the passing of Walter “Spike” Monestere.
Chief Monestere was a 46-year member of Bayview Hose Company 3 and Chief of the Freeport fire department from 1978 – 1979.
He passed away at the age of 75.
