Passing of Honorary Chief Gene Vandermosten
It is with deep regret that the Island Park Volunteer Fire Department announces the passing of Hon. Chief Gene Vandermosten who served the volunteer fire service for over 56 years in Baldwin Fire Department Hose Co. #4 and Island Park Original Engine #1.
He will be reposing at the Christopher T Jordan Funeral Home in Island Park on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Firematic services will be Friday at 8pm. Funeral will be held at St. Peter's Church in Baldwin at 10am on Saturday. Interment to follow at Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale.
